Keywords:
Children; Elbow; lateral condyle fracture; Olecranon fractureAbstract
Concomitant lateral condyle and olecranon fractures in same elbow occur very rarely. It is essential to do needful clinical examination and proper radiographic views with high index of suspension not to miss either of these fractures which otherwise leads to malunion, nonunion, tardy ulnar nerve palsy and secondary osteoarthritis of elbow in adult age. We report a six year old male child with concomitant lateral condyle and olecranon fractures which was correctly diagnosed at early stage and managed by open reduction and internal fixation with Kirschner wires with reasonable functional outcomes after removal of K wires.
